Investigators from the CRE for the Study of Naevi recently presented their research at the 16th World Congress on Cancers of the Skin held in Vienna, Austria from 31st August to the 3rd September 2016.
CRE Lead Investigator Prof H. Peter Soyer presented on Apps and Telemedicine, highlighting the current usage, limitations, and potential of technological innovations and Apps in skin surveillance and skin cancer/melanoma detection.
Prof Monika Janda, CRE Investigator and Scientific Co-ordinator, gave a presentation on Skin Cancer Prevention in Australia, discussing skin cancer prevention approaches and new challenges for the future.
CRE Postdoctoral Research Fellow Dr Mitchell Stark gave a presentation on his associated melanoma research examining whether melanoma treatment can be guided by a panel of predictive and prognostic microRNA markers.
